The nervousness, already running high after two bombs, three deaths, and three days without explanations, went up even higher in the Commonwealth Ballroom.
Time slowly passed as the press conference was delayed once, then again. Finally, at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, a pair of FBI agents carried two big easels to the front of the Boston hotel conference chamber and saddled them with display boards. After some time, they couldn’t wait any longer to reveal what was on the board.
The time had finally arrived when Boston would meet the men presumed responsible for this horrifying act.
Richard DesLauriers, the FBI agent in charge in Boston said, “Somebody out there knows these individuals as friends, neighbors, co-workers or family members of the suspects.” As he talked, investigators turned the boards around to reveal surveillance-camera images of two men whose only identity was conferred by the black baseball cap and sunglasses on one, the white baseball cap worn backward by the other.Boston Bombing
