The Boston Marathon Bomb Story

The nervousness, already running high after two bombs, three deaths, and three days without explanations, went up even higher in the Commonwealth Ballroom.

Time slowly passed as the press conference was delayed once, then again. Finally, at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, a pair of FBI agents carried two big easels to the front of the Boston hotel conference chamber and saddled them with display boards. After some time, they couldn’t wait any longer to reveal what was on the board.

The time had finally arrived when Boston would meet the men presumed responsible for this horrifying act.

Richard DesLauriers, the FBI agent in charge in Boston said, “Somebody out there knows these individuals as friends, neighbors, co-workers or family members of the suspects.” As he talked, investigators turned the boards around to reveal surveillance-camera images of two men whose only identity was conferred by the black baseball cap and sunglasses on one, the white baseball cap worn backward by the other.Boston Bombing

A Normal Washington State Suburb Witnesses a Shooting Rampage

Five people were gunned down at an apartment complex In Federal Way, south of Seattle, including a person who was killed by arriving police officers, a department official said early Monday.

At 9:30 PM, Sunday, officers responded to a 911 call in Federal Way. Upon arrival the scene was anarchic, with bullets flying.

Police saw two wounded men when they initially came upon the scene. As police officers helped the two hurt individuals, one of them went for a weapon.

This is when officers opened fire. The suspect died however the department said they weren’t quite sure if it was from their gun shots.

The previously mentioned person on the parking lot concrete and another man in the parking lot were discovered already dead.

During a search of the apartment complex, police found a fourth man dead in one residence and a shot-to-death woman in another unit. It’s possible a stray bullet struck the woman, though the department are currently investigating.

Eight officers shot their guns, Schrock said. Every one of them has been put on administrative suspension, due to standard procedure, as the investigation goes forward.

There was no idea of what set off the shooting. Police will give further information to the press late Monday morning. “We still don’t have any idea what started this disturbance tonight,” Schrock said. He said the they are still looking into everything and have set a briefing for late Monday morning.

Police flooded the area and performed searches, authorities said they were confident there were no more victims from the gunfight.

They said they did not think another shooter was on the loose or that there was an immediate threat to the public.
